What is venture building?

According to the lifecycle model, every new company with an innovative concept – a startup – will go through four stages in its lifecycle, each of which feature a number of milestones. A company seeking to grow consistently and successfully must focus on the right milestones within each stage of its lifecycle.

Venture building is the support method in Brabant for startups, used to measure the stage in which your company is and then provide you with the best possible support as part of a network of partners that is fully equipped to get you from concept to scaleup.

Who could gain from venture building?

We support innovative startups seeking to expand and that have upscaling potential. We focus in particular on companies that make a contribution to sustainable food systems, a healthy future, climate neutral energy solutions, and promising key technologies. Depending on the lifecycle stage of your startup, we are able to assist with tools and programs tailored to your needs.

What’s the use of it

Our objective is to get your startup to the next stage, at the right time and in the right way, guaranteeing healthy growth. We provide insight into your current position and ensure you devote your energy and funds to the milestones that are necessary for consistent growth.

In the example above, the company is trying to offset the absence of a product-market fit through financing to attract new staff so as to upscale its sales and marketing activities.

How do we do it?

We perform a scan of your company's current position to assess, using a questionnaire, which lifecycle stage you are currently in and what you need to progress.

Depending on the stage, one of the venture building network partners will support you through participating in one of the programs, developing a business case, or targeted investments.

Our network of partners includes The Gate (Brainport), B'Wise (REWIN), Midpoint Brabant, AgriFoodCapital, Bossche Investerings Maatschappij (BIM), Ondernemerslift+, Brabant Startup Fund (BSF), (Province of Brabant), Braventure, and BOM itself.
